Obtaining PowerCams

You can download PowerCams from sourceforge using GIT:

git clone git://git.code.sf.net/p/powercams/code powercams-code

The software is hosted on sourceforge: http://sourceforge.net/projects/powercams/

Libraries

PowerCams use OpenCV 2.1 Libraries.

The C++ libraries are used.

Installation

Before Compiling, you need to install in your system the folowing packages:


In order to compile software, simpy go into project dir and type:

make

Using

Go into project dir and type:

LD_PRELOAD=/usr/lib/libv4l/v4l1compat.so

NOTE: If you prefer you can modify your system configuration file to make LD_PRELOAD environment variable persistent.

You have to modify this file:

/etc/bash.bashrc

adding this 2 lines at the end of file:

LD_PRELOAD=/usr/lib/libv4l/v4l1compat.so
export LD_PRELOAD

..then you can execute powercams simply goint into project dir and typing:
