OPEN DESIGN, PROTECTED NAME

Build it, sell it — just not as “Yeah Hand.”

The design is fully open source. Build one, modify it, even sell your own version under your own name — we’d genuinely like to see it out in the world. “Yeah Hand” itself is a registered EU trademark, so that specific name and our branding are the one thing that need our OK first.

You’re welcome to

  • Build, modify, and use the open-source design for yourself
  • Sell a product based on the design under your own name
  • Say it’s “based on” or “compatible with” the Yeah Hand, if that’s accurate
  • Write about, review, teach, or research the project
  • Share an unofficial fork or community project, clearly marked as such

Needs our OK first

  • Selling or advertising a product called “Yeah Hand” or something confusingly similar
  • Using the Yeah Hand name or logo as a brand on products, packaging, or shop pages
  • Implying a product is official, endorsed, or certified by us

This is a plain-language summary — the full terms live in our trademark policy on GitHub. Questions or want to use the name? Send a message.
